The Cleaning and Hygiene Suppliers Association (CHSA) Manufacturing Standard Accreditation Scheme for Plastic Refuse Sacks
The CHSA is the trade association of suppliers to the cleaning industry, and represents the interests of both distributors and the end user. Under the CHSA Manufacturing Standard Accreditation Scheme for plastic refuse sacks, sacks are manufactured within stated tolerances and performance criteria including tear and puncture resistance and are regularly tested to ensure that they will not burst with the loads set out in the Standard. There is a simple scale to indicate usage - in the example below a label is shown for a heavy duty sack.
HOW THIS BENEFITS YOU
The CHSA Standard for refuse sacks is intended to give end users assurance that they are getting what they paid for and that the sack is fit for purpose.
The CHSA Recommended Duty Ratings are as follows:
Light - Up to 5kg
Medium - Up to 10kg
Heavy - Up to 15kg
Extra Heavy - 20kg+
We stock a wide range of CHSA accredited black polythene refuse sacks from light to extra heavy duty and in different dimensions to suit customer needs. Core stock items also include a full selection of white bin liners, wheelie bin liners, clear sacks and compactor sacks as well as more specialist sacks for laundry and disposal of clinical waste. Most of our sacks are supplied flat packed (unless stated otherwise), in boxes that bear the appropriate CHSA label, where applicable (white bin liners for example are not assessed under this scheme).
If you require a sack of a different size or duty rating then please ask and we will do our best to source it for you.
